TESA wins Xstrata contract
TESA’s Training Services division has secured a contract for the provision of Site Induction Services across Xstrata Coal’s 14 NSW mine sites. The contract requires TESA to provide a full day Site Induction Session, a one hour Site Familiarisation Program and an Annual Challenge Test review for approximately 8000 employees and contractors that require regular access to the Xstrata Coal NSW sites every year.
TESA’s Executive Regional Manager, Kevin Badcock announced that this contract will further cement TESA’s already strong association with Xstrata Coal NSW, where TESA are the primary labour hire provider to many Xstrata Sites.
The announcement of this latest contract came after TESA staff presented management from the 14 NSW Xstrata sites with a full day generic site induction presentation which included a practical demonstration of TESA’s new fire fighting simulator. TESA’s Regional Training Manager, Adam Taylor was instrumental in securing the deal, whilst Training Co-ordinator, Geoff Montserrat impressed Xstrata management with the quality of his full day presentation.
The new contract commenced on 31st May 2010 and will allow for TESA Training Services to work more closely with the Damstra Mining TWMS system, which is also being extended across the 14 Xstrata NSW mine sites.
